7 Tips to Keep Customers Coming Back

 

  1. Thank customers for their business every time you speak with them.

  2. Always ask, “Is there anything else I can help you with?”

  3. Offer a coverage tip during each interaction such as “By the way, we are reminding all of our customers…” Examples include limitations on jewelry in the homeowner’s policy, flood and earthquake that need to be purchased separately, or employment practices liability coverage that is now available and affordable.

  4. Initiate mid-term “I’m thinking about you” phone calls.

  5. Send periodic reminder post cards asking, “Has anything changed?”

  6. Celebrate Customer Appreciation Month.  Give small gifts, have an open house to meet the staff and see the office, and so on.

  7. Publish a picture of staff in the local newspaper.
